Madison looked up and saw Alison and her close friend, Laurel Davison, ganging up, mocking her.
Laurel taunted Madison without reservation, every word carrying a biting tone. While Alison seemed to be helping Madison, she was stepping on Madison
The two gossipy women truly disgusted Madison.
Madison put down the magazine in her hand and said calmly. “Why do I hear dogs barking?”
Taking advantage of being invited by Alison, Laurel used to bully Madison. She was used to Madison enduring everything. Now, seeing Madison fight back. Laurel was momentarily stunned.
She whispered to Alison, “Why do I feel like this foolish woman has changed?”
Alison cast a glance at Madison, suddenly overwhelmed by jealousy.
Madison used to show no interest in dressing up, and her attire, both in terms of style and color, was ordinary, giving her a dull appearance.
However, now Madison was wearing a stunning long green dress that accentuated her slim waist and flawless complexion, With her hair elegantly tied up, she exuded a graceful charm.
Just her sitting there painted a breathtaking picture, attracting all the attention.
Alison tightened her fingers and whispered, “So what? She’s about to lose the title of Mrs. Preston, and Neville hasn’t left her a penny.”
The implication was that Madison would end up left high and dry, without a penny to her name and out of favor with the Guzman family.
Celebrating the powerful and belittling the weak were always games that opportunists enjoyed playing.
Laurel wanted to curry favor with the Preston family, and she knew exactly what to do. Moreover, Ross was the man she had set her eyes on. She wouldn’t show mercy when dealing with her rivals.
“Madison, have you no shame? You’re still technically married to Neville, but here you are, tangled up with Ross. You sure move on quick,” Laurel said.
Madison sneered, “If you have poor eyesight, I can recommend an eye doctor for you. Besides, since you know I haven’t divorced Neville, you should advise your friend to keep in line. It’s better not to marry into the Preston family with a bad reputation.”
Alison’s face turned pale. She indeed wanted to marry into the Preston family gloriously, not be labeled as a homewrecker.
Madison and Neville’s marriage was hush–hush. To the world, Neville was a rich bachelor, and the company saw Alison as his girlfriend.

Laurel retorted, “If it weren’t for you snatching Neville away back then, Alison would have been Mrs. Preston. You’re the lowly homewrecker!”
Madison looked at Alison and smiled. “Miss Conner, is that true?”
Both Madison’s and Alison’s kidneys matched Neville’s.
Before Neville’s surgery, Madison had gone to Alison with a bank card.
She cud she wanted to give Alison a choice. Either Alison donated the kidney, or she disappeared with this bank card and never saw Neville again.

Only now did Madison know that Alison had broken her promise, lingering around Neville for these three years.
Alison felt uneasy under Madison’s mocking gaze and pulled Laurel. “Laurel, it’s over. Let it go”
Laurel complained, “Alison, you’re just too kind. That’s why Neville was snatched away by this wicked woman.”
Laurel was determined to teach Madison a lesson, letting her know that she offended someone she couldn’t afford to offend.

Caught off guard, Madison felt the sting of the impact, causing her to gasp for a breath of cold air, and her eyes flashed red.

Ignoring the killing intent on Madison, Laurel pounced at her, attempting to scratch Madison’s face with sharp nails.
Madison suddenly grabbed Laurel’s wrist and fiercely slapped her.
Laurel received several slaps, her cheeks swollen, and blood streaks appeared at the corners of her mouth
Madison looked at her with a half–smile and said, “This is just returning the favor. If you still want to compare, I don’t mind. accompanying you to the end.”
Laurel stood there, stunned by Madison’s retaliatory slap, taking a moment to gather her bearings.
The usually docile woman fought back, hitting Laurel hard and painfully.
“Wicked woman, you’re just a plaything Neville got tired of, dreaming of climbing into Ross’s bed!” Laurel roared.

She wanted to see what Madison could do without that seductive face and how she would seduce men.

The marble coffee table slid a few feet away, crashing heavily into Laurel’s knees. She tilted backward, and the scalding coffee spilled all over her face.
“Oh!” Laurel couldn’t help but scream in pain, struggling to pounce on Madison. “Wicked woman, I’ll kill you!”
Ross rushed over at this moment, immediately standing in front of Madison
Seeing him protect Madison, Laurel, holding her swollen face, screamed in grievance, “Ross, you’ve been deceived by her. She’s a married woman but still seduces you. Shameless!”
In Laurel’s eyes, Madison could only attract Ross’s favor if she concealed her married status.
Ross had a guess about why Laurel was targeting Madison. He whispered an apology to Madison, then grabbed Laurel’s wrist and quickly walked towards the door, saying, “Come with me!”
The commotion in the reception room soon reached the office.
Ryan frowned and asked, “What’s going on?”
The assistant happened to see a man and a woman pulling and tugging in the corridor, the man being Ross, and the woman the exclusive model for Fliwip

Ryan joked, “Ross is indeed a playboy. Wherever he goes, he stirs up a storm among women”
Neville narrowed his eyes and said, “Ross is involved in this bid?”
“Yes, he’s the illegitimate child of the Castro family. This guy has some skills. He might become the heir of the family in the
future.”
Neville glanced at the bid document and said in a cold tone, “Take Loveille out of the running.”
Ryan, aware that Neville was a shareholder of Fliwip and had the power to veto, hesitated for a moment. Then, his tone slufted, and he looked at Neville with curiosity, asking, “There’s something strange about you. Did he steal your wife?”
